Mini Collection Fall/Winter 2026
Created in my Fashion 104 course, this project explores the development of a Fall/Winter 2026 collection inspired by Zara’s target market. Through competitive research, trend analysis, and concept development, I designed a four-look collection that balances quiet luxury aesthetics with accessible, trend-driven design.
Developed in my Fashion 104 course, Autumnal: FW26 is a four-look collection designed for Zara’s core consumer, an urban, trend-conscious Gen Z and Millennial woman seeking elevated style at an accessible price point. The project began with in-depth market research analyzing Zara’s business model, pricing strategy, and customer behavior to ensure the collection remained commercially competitive.
The creative direction draws from a resurgence of 90s minimalism and “quiet luxury,” influenced by cultural references such as Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and the renewed interest in refined, understated dressing. The collection explores contrast through texture and layering, combining soft, sheer elements with structured silhouettes.
The final designs include two tops and two bottoms: a silk chiffon midi slip skirt with delicate ribbon and picot trim detailing, suede slim flare pants with vintage-inspired hardware, a sheer mock-neck knit layered over a camisole, and a sculpted long-sleeve knit with cinched shaping. Each piece was developed with technical flats, fabric sourcing, trim selection, and defined colorways to reflect both aesthetic cohesion and market viability.
The collection is unified through a muted, autumnal color palette incorporating neutrals, deep tones, and the Pantone Color of the Year, reinforcing a cohesive seasonal narrative. Designed with both styling and wearability in mind, the final looks reflect how the modern consumer engages with fashion—layered, transitional, and effortlessly refined.
